FAQs - U1
The ASIWO U1 is best for users who want one device for multiple water activities, including SUP, kayaking, snorkeling, diving, freediving, inflatable boating, and light water cruising. It is especially suitable for users who already enjoy water sports and want extra propulsion, longer range, and less fatigue.
The U1 is designed to fit most stand-up paddleboards using different adapter options. Before purchasing, check your board’s fin box type and compare it with the included adapters. For kayak or inflatable boat use, make sure the mounting setup is secure before entering the water.
No. For SUP use, remove your original fin, select the correct adapter, and secure the U1 into the fin box. We recommend installing it on land first and testing it in calm shallow water before longer rides. Always confirm the motor is locked in place before use.
Yes, but beginners should start slowly. The U1 is more powerful and more versatile than a basic water scooter, so first-time users should start in calm water, use the lowest speed mode, and practice steering, stopping, and balance before using it in open water or stronger conditions.
Yes. The U1 can be used as a diver propulsion vehicle, but it should be used only by confident swimmers or trained divers who understand buoyancy, depth, current, and return-distance planning. Do not rely on the U1 as a safety device, and always follow safe diving practices.
Battery life depends on speed mode, user weight, board type, water current, wind, waves, and how continuously the motor is used. Higher speed modes and heavier loads will consume power faster. For longer trips, use low or medium speed and avoid relying on full power for the entire ride.
The U1 uses a high-capacity lithium battery, so airline restrictions may apply. Do not assume it can be taken on a plane. Contact your airline before travel and confirm their lithium battery policy. Remove the battery from the device before transport and follow all airline instructions.
First, check whether the battery is charged and properly installed. Make sure the controller or smartwatch is connected and that the motor is securely mounted. Inspect the propeller area for sand, seaweed, fishing line, or debris. If the issue continues, stop using the U1 and contact ASIWO support.
The U1 can provide strong propulsion, but users should always match the environment to their skill level. Avoid dangerous currents, heavy waves, poor visibility, crowded swimming areas, rocks, and boat traffic. For SUP and kayak use, test the U1 in calm water before using it in more challenging conditions.
After each use, rinse the U1 thoroughly with clean fresh water, especially after saltwater or pool use. Clean around the propeller, adapter connection, battery compartment, charging contacts, and controller area. Remove the battery and let all parts dry completely before charging or storage. For long-term storage, keep the U1 in a cool dry place and recharge the battery periodically to help maintain battery health.
